WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. – Unable to find his remote control, Jeff Howell faces an immediate and daunting threat of watching Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. After viewing one hour of Family Guy on TBS this evening, Howell’s misplaced remote may cause severe exposure to the TBS original comedy series. Howell, 28, is frantically searching under the couch cushions and plans to check the kitchen counter, but understands he may have to resort to other measures due to the small window of time. Unless other preventative action is taken, the intrusive show will barrage Howell with four episodes over a two-hour span, causing harsh cultural confusion and possible changes in speech. The current impending disaster comes on the heels of another tense moment for Howell, when last Thursday a frozen cable box triggered a full three minutes of 10 Items or Less after The Office
